General

The marathon will be run on Sunday, 25th October 2026.

The marathon is open to anyone who would like to participate in the following distances:

5km Family Fun Run
10km Road Race
21km Half Marathon
21km Wheelchair Race
CEO Challenge
42km Full Marathon

Runners are reminded that running is a strenuous activity and they must ensure that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the event.

The CEO Challenge is a special category designed to encourage business leaders and executives to lead by example and promote a healthy lifestyle among their peers and employees while raising money for the Standard Chartered Foundation Initiative.

Registration & Fees

All proceeds from the race event go towards the Standard Chartered Foundation Initiative. The registration fees are:

Individual Entry (all physical distances) KES 2,500
CEO Challenge KES 20,000
All registrations and payments must be done online. NO CASH PAYMENT should be given to any individual person or persons.

Yes. The platform supports secure card payments using cards that are enabled for online transactions and authentication protocols such as EMV 3D Secure (3DS).

Depending on your bank and card issuer, you may be required to complete additional authentication steps such as entering a One-Time Password (OTP) or approving the transaction via your banking app.

Please ensure your card is enabled for online payments and authentication to avoid failed transactions. To help protect customers against fraudulent activity, payment attempts may also be subject to security checks and transaction limits.

All registered participants will receive a confirmation email and receipt upon successful registration to the email address used at the time of registration.

No refund will be made if the race is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Yes. You can leave all your belongings at the left luggage area, which will be located at the warm-up area at the start.

Kit Collection

Kit collection for individual registrations will be done at Uhuru Gardens:

There will be no kit collection on race day.

Yes. Collection of race kit on your behalf is possible. The person collecting must come with a confirmation slip (either printed or softcopy) and some form of identification document.

Prizes are only applicable for the physical marathon. The full breakdown of prize money can be found here:

The final results and leaderboard will be available on our website after race day. You will also be able to download a copy of your timing certificate.

To get your correct timing results, please contact us at secretariat@nairobimarathon.com within one month after the marathon to notify us of any change you require.
